The project explored the atrium typology and its defining characteristics. Located on the northern side of the mountain—an area that lacks the same views and lighting conditions as the southern slopes—the design focused on emphasizing the presence of nature and the varying qualities of light through the atrium.

Key aspects that guided the project included the idea of the introverted home, clearly distinguishing between private and public spaces; the atrium as a spatial element, defining circulation and connecting different parts of the building; and the atrium as a flexible space, allowing interior functions to extend outward.
